We are a proudly independent, family-run record store located in the heart of Bangor, Northern Ireland. Bending Sound was born out of a deep love for music, a lifelong passion for vinyl records, and the frustration of watching beloved local record shops disappear from our town. We were determined to reignite the joy of browsing through a real life record shop, and in 2017, on Record Store Day, we opened our doors. For us, nothing compares to the experience of rummaging through racks of vinyl and discovering new favourites, which is why we initially resisted offering mail order services.

We want to make your experience as incredible as your record will sound spinning away on your decks. As a result we offer same-day local delivery, click and collect, postage and try our best to answer all your questions and queries as well as we can.

Of course, we know with vinyl that there's always a risk of a skip or a scratch across your favourite tracks, or even accidentally ordering an extra that you've got stashed away already, so we offer free tracked returns and a refund.
