Whether you’re ordering a new release, adding to your collection or picking something up locally, here’s how delivery and returns work with us.

We deliver across the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Delivery estimates run from the date of dispatch and are not guaranteed arrival dates. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays and public closures.

Local delivery and click and collect are free, as outlined below.

When we dispatch your order

Order in-stock items by 3pm, Monday to Friday, and we’ll dispatch them that day.

Royal Mail and DPD collect Monday to Friday, except on bank holidays and other public closures. Orders received after 3pm or on a non-collection day will leave on the next available collection day.

If your order includes a preorder, please see the preorder arrangements below.

Free local delivery

We offer free same-day delivery, seven days a week, to eligible postcodes within eight miles driving distance of the shop.

Order in-stock items by 3pm for delivery that day. Orders placed after 3pm will be delivered the following day.

Enter your delivery address at checkout to see whether this option is available. Our delivery area covers selected postcodes, if you believe we have missed you, please get in touch.

Select click and collect at checkout. We’ll send you a notification when your order is ready—please wait for this before making the trip, but it's usually ready within the hour.

We’re open every day except Christmas Day. Postal collections follow the separate schedule above.

Preorders

Preorders normally get dispatched on Thursday, ahead of their Friday release date. We cannot guarantee delivery on release day, as arrival depends on the delivery service.

If you’ve chosen click and collect, your preorder will be available from opening on release day. Please wait for your ready-to-collect notification before visiting.

If a release date changes or an unexpected closure affects dispatch, we’ll let affected customers know.

Ordering preorders alongside in-stock records

If your order includes both in-stock records and preorders, we’ll hold everything and send it together once all items are ready for dispatch.

For orders containing several preorders with different release dates, this means waiting until the latest preorder is ready to ship.

If you’d like your in-stock records sooner, contact us by email or telephone to arrange a separate shipment. An additional postage charge applies, which we’ll confirm with you before sending anything separately.

Returns and refunds

If you need to return something, please email hello@bendingsound.co.uk first. Include your order number or another form of proof of purchase, and tell us which item you’d like to return. If something is wrong with it, a short description of the problem will help.

We’ll provide a free tracked returns label for eligible returns, including faulty items and unopened records returned because you’ve changed your mind.

Please pack records securely and keep your proof of postage until your return has been resolved.

If you change your mind

For online record orders, let us know you wish to return within 14 days after delivery. You then have another 14 days to get the record back to us. You don’t need to give a reason.

Records supplied sealed must remain unopened, with the original seal intact, for change-of-mind returns. Records supplied without a seal remain subject to applicable cancellation rights.

The unopened requirement does not apply to records that are faulty or not as described.

For an eligible cancellation of your entire order, we’ll refund the items and the standard delivery charge. 

We’ll issue your cancellation refund within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or evidence that you’ve sent them back, whichever happens first.

If something is faulty, damaged or incorrect

Please email us if your record arrives damaged, has a fault or isn’t what you ordered. We’ll work with you to put it right and provide a tracked returns label at no charge.

You generally have the right to reject faulty goods for a refund within 30 days of delivery. After that, you may still be entitled to a repair, replacement or another remedy. We’ll handle your return in line with your applicable consumer rights.

Event packages

We offer a 48-hour change-of-mind cancellation window for event packages, starting from the time of purchase.

To cancel, email hello@bendingsound.co.uk within that window. You must send your request before the event takes place, and the ticket must be unused.

The time you send your email is what counts—you don’t need to receive our reply within the 48 hours.

After this window, we don’t offer discretionary change-of-mind refunds for event packages. This does not affect any statutory rights relating to goods included in the package, faulty items, or an event that is cancelled or not provided as agreed.
