FOR GIRLS WHO GROW PLUMP IN THE NIGHT (THOUSAND CLUB EDITION) CARAVAN

Widely regarded as one of Caravan's finest records, For Girls Who Grow Plump In The Night captures the Canterbury legends at a creative peak. Released in 1973, the album blends sophisticated progressive rock, jazz-inflected arrangements, and Caravan's trademark melodic charm, delivering a collection that remains a cornerstone of the Canterbury Scene.
Featuring fan favorites including "Memory Lain, Hugh / Headloss," "The Dog, The Dog, He's At It Again," and the epic suite "L'Auberge du Sanglier," the album balances intricate musicianship with accessible songwriting and memorable hooks. The return of keyboardist Dave Sinclair and the addition of violist Geoff Richardson helped shape a richer, more expansive sound that would define the band's mid-'70s output.
A must-have for fans of progressive rock, Canterbury Scene pioneers, and artists such as Camel, Soft Machine, and early Genesis, For Girls Who Grow Plump In The Night stands as one of the essential British progressive rock albums of the 1970s.
