about Ferdi - the Sound of Art
The second album from this rising star of contemporary jazz, following the success of ‘Take 01’, which debuted at No. 126 on the Top Albums chart upon its release. Ferdi reaffirms him status as an innovative artist who is revolutionizing jazz and its image.
Has performed live in 2026 at Coachella, the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Victoires du Jazz and toured with Theodora, Dabeull and Sofiane Pamart.
‘Surya’ is an irresistible track that showcases Disiz in a new musical light (in 2026, Disiz broke the French record of longest-running Number 1 single with ‘Melodrama’ ft Theodora for 23 consecutive weeks).
In an era when everything seems destined to be consumed and then forgotten, Ferdi champions the long-term nature of creation. This album was born out of the conviction that art remains a precious space-a place of exploration, transmission and emotion, where every detail is the result of a patient creative process.
More than just a succession of tracks, this project is intended to be a work conceived as a whole, where music engages in dialogue with other mediums to further a shared artistic and emotional quest.
Long fascinated by the figure of the painter, Ferdi sought to understand what gives a work its power and its ability to leave a lasting impression. This reflection has gradually led her to a clear conclusion-it is not complexity that moves us, but the sincerity with which it serves a form of simplicity. Imbued with this exploration, the album is also a tribute to his mother-a way of celebrating those who quietly shape our perspective, our imagination and our sensitivity. Following the success of ‘Take 01’, Ferdi unveils an irresistible and daring album, confirming his status as an innovative artist who is revolutionizing jazz and its image.
